Remotes, flashing lights and error codes: preserve the evidence
An error code is a model-specific clue, not an automatic instruction to replace a part. Record it before attempting a reset.
Identify both unit and controller
Photograph the model reference and remote if their labels are visible without dismantling. Copy the entire code and note whether it comes from the unit, a wall controller or an app. One manufacturer may use different tables across product families.
Simple user checks
Check batteries, keypad locks and schedules as described in the manual. Look up symbols in that model's legend: functions are not universal. Distinguish a command that is not received from a unit that receives it and then stops. Do not try service-button combinations intended for another model.
Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and other brands
For Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Haier, Midea, Hisense, Gree or Toshiba, find the exact manual before interpreting a code. We do not provide a universal table that could mislead. If a fault returns after a manual-approved reset, keep the record and request diagnosis rather than repeatedly resetting it.
Choose the next step
Use the symptom page to understand the likely causes. If the cause is still unclear, book a diagnosis before approving a repair.
